Blackberry Outage

Isolated parts of the US are experiencing a Blackberry Outage and data services over EDGE are not functioning and there’s no connection to the Blackberry Exchange Server.

The outage started occurring in the Atlanta, Southern Kansas and Seattle areas but it’s also been reported the issue has spread to places such as Europe.

The outage seems to be mainly effecting AT&T and T-Mobile BlackBerry users in the Southeast areas but there have also been reports of the outage issues occuring internationally. The outage seems to be growing currently as they are trying to route data through a different datacenter. Right now there is no estimated time of a complete resolution.

We have been told it was a Firewall issue which had trouble connecting to RIM, some devices are displaying edge while others EDGE. A fix is being put in to place, to so see if your area has been corrected the solution is to switch off your Blackberry and remove the battery for 60 seconds they power up your Blackberry again.
