Continuing on with our hottest music countdown of the 1980’s and 1990’s, today we have the Top 100 Songs of 1992. As you can see by the charts no single one music style dominated, and especially in the Top 20 you will notice very contrasting songs. From the pumped up rap style of the young Kris Kross with Jump, to the slower instrumentals of Eric Clapton with Tears in Heaven, the rock/metal tunes of Guns n Roses and the energetic style of Red Hot Chili Peppers.. 1992 had it!

One thing they had was Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus, but what i want to know is WHY? Seriously what were we thinking back then? It would have to be the worst “music” to come out of a human being in the history of music, the American Idol bloopers had better talent!

Anyhow, if you are interested in downloading any of the songs below to your cell phone just choose your carrier from the buttons up the top left. We can send to the major ones such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint Nextel etc. You can also download them in Polyphonic or MP3 which means they are compatible with all the major mobile phones like Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson etc.

I just thought i’d publish up a list of iPhone Secret Codes for those who like to ‘monkey’ around with things. Now some of these are available from within the iPhones menu system however others aren’t so i thought i would post them all up anyhow.

The should work on the regular Apple iPhone as well as the 3G iPhone, also if you have any others feel free to post them in the comments and i will add them to the list. Also if you have any undocumented iPhone Tips & Tricks let us know.

So here’s a list of Secret Codes for the iPhone:

*3001#12345#* and hit the Call button, this enters a Field Test Mode

This Field Test Mode shown many of the internal settings of your iPhone such as current network and cell info.

*#06# Displays your IMEI, this is the same code on most phones.

The IMEI is your International Mobile Equipment Identity which is unique to your phone and identifies it.

*777# and hit Call, this accesses the Account balance for a prepaid iPhone.

*225# and hit Call, this accesses Bill Balance for Postpaid only iPhones.

*646# and hit Call, this checks minutes for Postpaid only iPhones

*#61# and hit Call, checks the number for unanswered calls.

This show the number for voice call forwarding when a call has gone unanswered. Also show the options for data, fax, sms, sync, async, packet access and pad access.

*#62# and hit Call, checks the number for call forwarding if no service is available.

*#67# and hit Call, checks the number for call forwarding when the iPhone is busy.

*#21# and hit Call, settings for interrogation for call forwards.

This will see whether you have voice, data, fax, sms, sync, async, packet access, and pad access call forwarding enabled or not.

*#30# and hit Call, does a calling line presentation check.

*#76# and hit Call, checks whether the connected line presentation is enabled or not.

*#43# and hit Call, determine if call waiting is enabled.

This displays call waiting status for voice, data, fax, sms, sync data, async data, packet access and pad access.

*#33# and hit Call, checks for call control bars.

Check all the usual suspects (voice, data, fax, sms, etc) to see whether barring is enabled or disabled for outgoing calls.

So there was have it, some secret codes for your iPhone to play around with.

Over the next couple of weeks i thought i’d do a music flashback series to reflect on some classic songs from the past, we still get many Ringtone Downloads for these artists and songs along with people searching for 80’s and 90’s music to use as their Ringtone.

So the first in this music flashback is the Top 100 Songs of 1989 and depending on how old you are, i’m sure some of these will bring back some fond memories.
To download just choose your carrier from the buttons at the top right, we can send directly to all the major carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc. From there just enter your phone number so we know which handset to send the ring tones to, then confirm your pin and you can select any songs from the list below.

Today we have All Summer Long by Kid Rock song lyrics and music video, as well as the All Summer Long Ringtone you can download. However first up, a bit about the popular Kid Rock.

Kid Rock was born Robert James Ritchie in Michigan on 17th Jan 1971, and is known for his Rap/Rock Music across the world and in particular ‘Rock N Roll Jesus’ which is his latest release. All Summer Long is one of the most popular songs from Rock N Roll Jesus which at the time of writing is sitting at #25 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and has shot to #1 on the music charts in Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The labum has already achieved Double Platinum status in the United States and Gold in Canada.

Personally All Summer Long is currently one of my favorite songs, it has a great layed back beat and some sweet lyrics. I’ve set this one as my text message tone, i get more messages on my cellphone than phone calls so i hear it more often.

Kid Rock has had a fairly lengthy career and he keeps on getting better, as you can see by his albums:

* 1990: Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast
* 1993: The Polyfuze Method
* 1994: Fire It Up!
* 1996: Early Mornin’ Stoned Pimp
* 1997: The Polyfuze Method Revisited
* 1998: Devil Without a Cause
* 2000: The History of Rock
* 2001: Cocky
* 2003: Kid Rock
* 2006: Live Trucker
* 2007: Rock N Roll Jesus

Here is the All Summer Long Music Video

All Summer Long Lyrics by Kid Rock

It was 1989, my thoughts were short my hair was long
Caught somewhere between a boy and man
She was seventeen and she was far from in-between
It was summertime in Northern Michigan
Ahh Ahh Ahh
Ahh Ahh Ahh

Splashing through the sand bar
Talking by the campfire
It’s the simple things in life, like when and where
We didn’t have no internet
But man I never will forget
The way the moonlight shined upon her hair

[Chorus:]
And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking about tomorrow
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long

Catching Walleye from the dock
Watching the waves roll off the rocks
She’ll forever hold a spot inside my soul
We’d blister in the sun
We couldn’t wait for night to come
To hit that sand and play some rock and roll

While we were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking about tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long

Now nothing seems as strange as when the leaves began to change
Or how we thought those days would never end
Sometimes I’ll hear that song and I’ll start to sing along
And think man I’d love to see that girl again

[Repeat Chorus x2]

Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long

Also sorry for the short post today, i’ve been out of town and only just arrived home and i’m running on very little sleep.
Anyhow, here’s the latest Top Ringtone Downloads:

#1 Grupo Montez De Durango with Adios Amor Te Vas

#2 Koji Kondo with Super Mario Brothers Theme

Metallica announce O2 shows

Metallica have announced that they will be playing the 02 World in Berlin and 02 Arena in London on September 12th and 15th 2008. Tickets are £5 and all ticket proceeds will be donated to various charities, which is a pretty cheap concert.. I paid close to $100 when i saw them in Australia.

Metallica have also put a couple of small excerpts from their soon to be released album Death Magnetic, on the official metallica.com website. More goodies will be added to their site over the next 2 weeks.

They will be making the first single ‘The Day That Never Comes’ available on August 22nd, so we should have the Ringtone on that date and a physical release will be out in September.

Their album “Death Magnetic” will be released worldwide on Friday September 12th 2008.

Oasis Album Named

Noel from Oasis admits the title for their upcoming LP “Dig Out Your Soul” was chosen because the group couldn’t think of anything else.

He told Britain’s Radio 1: ‘I couldn’t think of any ideas and then somebody had just taken bits of the lyrics out and ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ was what came up.

“Dig Out Your Soul” is not the best one but it was the best title on a day when we had to choose one. Originally it was going to be called “Bag It Up” and then it was going to be called “Shock of the Lightning” and then it was going to be called “Standing On The Edge Of The Noise”

“Dig Out Your Soul” - which Noel claims is a reference to soul music will be released on October 6.

A fresh look at the charts

There’s been a pretty large shift in the music charts with some albums coming from nowhere to take top spots, here’s a look at the Top 10

#1 A Little Bit Longer by Jonas Brothers
#2 Mamma Mia Soundtrack
#3 Common Reaction by Uh Huh Her
#4 Harps And Angels by Randy Newman
#5 Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends by Coldplay
#6 Beer For My Horses Soundtrack
#7 Breakout by Miley Cyrus
#8 Love On The Inside by Sugarland
#9 Rock N Roll Jesus by Kid Rock
#10 Kidz Bop Kids by Kidz Bop 14

So as you can see, almost overnight the Jonas Brothers A Little Bit Longer has shot to the top of the charts, and Uh Huh Her with Common Reaction leapt from #225 to #2

Crush by David Archuleta

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta premiered his first single titled “Crush”, so we are featuring the Crush Lyrics to finish off todays post. You can also download the Crush by David Archuleta Ringtone just by clicking your carrier up the top of this page.

So without further ado, here’s the Crush Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time
Deep inside..
It was a rush, what a rush
Cause the possibility that you would ever feel the same way about me
It’s just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know..

[Chorus]
Do you ever think when your all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cuz I try and try to walk away,
But I know this crush ain’t goin away, goin away

Has it ever cross your mind
When we’re hangin spending time girl
Are we just friends
Is there more, is there more
See it’s a chance we’ve gotta take
Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last,
Last forever, forever

[Chorus]

Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know..

Do you ever think when your all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cuz I try and try to walk away,
But I know this crush ain’t goin away x5

Today we have the current Top 10 Mobile Ringtone Charts, so you can get an idea of what’s hot and what people are currently downloading. Some of these songs and artists may come as a surprise (i know they did to me when i compiled the data) and not because the songs are bad, but because of how old some of them are and simply how long they have managed to stay in the Top 10 without being toppled. But as you will see, there’s some classic and timeless songs in the list and that’s why they still remain the most popular ringtones today.

#1 Mariah Carey - We Belong Together

First up, we have the sexy Mariah Carey with We Belong Together from her tenth album Emancipation of Mimi. This is Mariah’s biggest selling hit with a massive 243 Weeks without leaving the Top 40 Mobile Charts, the album was released in 2005 and is just as hot today as it was back then. It’s very difficult to get data about the most downloaded song of all time or number of downloads worldwide, but i would say this would have to be one of the most downloaded songs to a mobile device by an artist (Not including CrazyFrog etc) of all time due to the sheer length of time it’s been in the Mobile Charts. Well done Mariah!

#2 James Blunt - You’re Beautiful

Coming in at number 2 is James Blunt with You’re Beautiful which was written for his 2004 album titled Back to Bedlam, then later released as a single on May 30th 2005. After release the song topped the US, Canada and UK Charts as well as coming in at #2 in Australia. It also holds the title of the only song by a British artist to top the Latin America Top #40

#3 Craig David - All The Way

The song All The Way was the first single released by British R&B Artist Craig David from his album titled The Story Goes… David missed the Top 10 with his previous singles “World Filled with Love” and “You Don’t Miss Your Water (’Til the Well Runs Dry)” however All The Way changed that for him. Despite him nailing the Top 10 with it, his song titled Don’t Love You No More (I’m Sorry) is actually his biggest selling single to date.

#4 Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway

Kelly Clarkson with her song titled Breakaway comes in at #4 which was released in July 2004 for the soundtrack to the film The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Also many people don’t realize this, but the song was co-written by the stunning Avril Lavigne and was originally intended for Avril’s album called Let Go but Avril felt it didn’t suit the album so it was released by Kelly Clarkson instead. Afterwards the song was included on Clarkson’s second album, Breakaway.

#5 Akon - Lonely

Lonely or sometimes called Mr. Lonely by Akon is from his debut album titled Trouble which was released on March 15th 2005 where it instantly topped the charts around the world in places such as United Kingdom, Germany (stayed there for 8 weeks) and Australia. Also it hit #2 in France, #3 in Brazil, and #4 in the United States. The song makes uses a sped-up sample of Bobby Vinton’s “Mr. Lonely”. The Lonely video actually is very similar to Shakira’s “The One” from the album Laundry Service. So while the song has borrowed heavily from other songs/artists it’s still quite unique and popular coming in at #5 on the Mobile Top 10 Charts.

#6 Gwen Stefani - Cool

Cool by the lovely Gwen Stefani is from her debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby which was released in 2004. The Pop-Rock songs lyrics highlight a relationship where two lovers have separated, but remain “cool” with each other as good friends. Many people believe the song represents Gwen Stefani’s relationship with fellow No Doubt member Tony Kanal, who’s relationship ended but the couple remained ‘Cool’ as friends.

#7 Foo Fighters - Best Of You

Currently, it’s the Foo Fighter’s only single to reach Platinum status, other singles such as Everlong, Learn to Fly, Times Like These, DOA, and The Pretender have only reached Gold.

#8 Ludacris - Stand Up

Translated the song title La Turtura means “The Torture” which was released as a single in Cotober 2004 and is a Latin pop-Reggaeton song by Shakira and Alejandro Sanz.
We blogged about the band 3OH!3 last month, and a lot of people showed interest in this band from Colorado so we are back again with a post about the 3OH!3 Album titled Want. The album was released on 7th August 2008 and this once small time band are starting to see big time success.

The best songs on this album are Punkbitch, Chokechain, Still Around, I’m Not Your Boyfriend Baby, Holler Til’ You Pass Out, and Don’t Trust Me. These in particular feature great beats and lyrics, so we have also included the Don’t Trust Me video and lyrics along with the I Can’t Do It Alone Lyrics. This way when you listen to the CD or grab the ringtone you will know the words to the song. Also if you were wondering about the odd name for the group, which people spell 3OH3, 3OH 3 and even 3!OH3 along with every other version under the sun it was selected after the area code for Colorada which is 303. How the ! and H got in there i don’t know, so if you do feel free to comment as i haven’t been able to find any info about it.

Don’t Trust Me Lyrics

Black dress, with the tights underneath,
I’ve got the breath of the last cigarette on my teeth.
And she’s an actress, but she ain’t got no need.
She’s got money from parents in a trust fund back east.

Tongues, always pressed to your cheeks.
While my tounge is on the inside of some other girl’s teeth.
Tell your boyfriend, if he says he’s got beef,
That I’m a vegetarian, and I ain’t f**king scared of him.

She wants to touch me wahoo.
She wants to love me wahoo.
She’ll never leave me wahoo, wahoo hoo hoo.
Don’t trust a ho.
Never trust a ho.
Won’t trust a ho.
‘Cuz a ho won’t trust me.

She wants to touch me wahoo.
She wants to love me wahoo.
She’ll never leave me wahoo, wahoo hoo hoo.
Don’t trust a ho.
Never trust a ho.
Won’t trust a ho.
‘Cuz a ho won’t trust me.

X’s on the back of your hands,
Washed them in the bathroom to drink like the bands,
And the set list, you stole off the stage
Has red and purple lipstick all over the page.

Bruises cover your arms
Shaking in the fingers with the bottle in your palm,
And the best is, no one knows who you are.
Just another girl alone at the bar.

Shush girl, shut your lips,
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips.
I said shush girl, shut your lips.
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips.
I said shush girl, shut your lips.
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips.

‘Cuz a ho won’t trust me

I Can’t Do It Alone Song Lyrics

Oh God, God, she’s really done it now,
Coked up, her body’s all spun around,
Oh yeah, yeah, she’s really done it,
And seein’ her just isn’t something I can stomach,

Back it up, back it up,
If you talkin’ shit to me,
Smack it up, smack it up,
If you act a bitch to me,
Stack it up, stack it up,
If you f**kin’ rich as me,
My daddy owns a dealership,
The rest is f**kin’ history

This ain’t a love song (oh no),
This ain’t a broken heart homie singin’ only ’cause he’s lonely,
This ain’t a love song (oh, no, no, no),
This ain’t a whiskey-drowned ballad,
There ain’t nothing here that’s valid,
So tell me baby, pretty baby, that this house is not a graveyard,
Tell me how to stay strong and carry you home,
Over corpses of her long-lost fathers and her unborn daughters,
God dammit, I just can’t do it alone
I can’t do it alone,
I can’t do it alone,
No, I can’t do it alone

Oh no, no, I’m not impressed with you,
Pink drinks that seem to get the best of you,
Rock late and sleep until the sun sets,
I’d talk but you took the tongue I talk with

Back it up, back it up,
If you talkin’ shit to me,
Smack it up, smack it up,
If you act a bitch to me,
I can’t do it alone,
I can’t do it alone,
No, I can’t do it alone

I can call you out and complain the rain is worse,
But it’s that much better if I blame it on a person,
I can call you out and complain the rain is worse,
